right now we're getting rain and south gate road. walnut creek getting wet. there is spotty in the north bay. here are the current readings into 50s and here red light highlights. periods of rain overnight, scattered showers tomorrow and there is a front that just moving into a snail's pace. it will have to contend with this area of low pressure. the low goes through that could trigger scattered showers. another round of rain with this second storm this, is due in here on thursday. and that is wide spread rain, light to moderate. then, by 5:00 a.m.

spotty showers and scattered in nature, you'll likely see sunny breaks into afternoon and that is part of the problem. and 2:00 into the afternoon you can see widely scattered showers. and yeel it winds down late wednesday night only for another storm to come in here early thursday morning. rainfall totals through wednesday night look like this, a quarter to half an inch. a tenth to a quarter inch in the north bay. there is additional quarter to three quarters of an inch. we're going to add to rain totals. winter weather advisory tomorrow morning from five to 10 inches of snow above 5,000 feet. there is another storm thursday that looks like it's going to be a bigger snow maker possibly seeing one to two feet above 7,000 feet.

a back bear with a hankering for meat balls was found lounging around los angeles county. they tagged it and put it to sleep in order to move it to a rural area. they think it's the same bear forraging for food in the area and breaking into a garage and eating meet balls out of a refrigerator. the animal seems to make an appearance on tuesdays which is trash collection day in the area that, is good eating if you're a bear. >> he knows where food is. >> the $3.2 billion contract for a new fleet of bart trains will be awarded in may. one congressman is urging bart
